Yes, it is important to save it to a place it will stay because if you move the file to another location on your computer, the signature will no longer work and you'd have to change the details in the signature spot in OE.

Lori and Kim,
I've followed your instructions as best I could, but it did not work. My signature file is a gif that I uploaded to Photobucket. I see the HTML tag and copied and pasted the entire line onto Notepad. Notepad made it a text file that I saved to My Documents. In Outlook Express signatures, I browsed to mydocuments and selected the file.
The problem is that I'm still not using an .html file, right? Maybe?
Can you figure out what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you very much, Diane

Your doing everything right but when you save the notepad be sure you save it as name.html file. This will then look like an internet explorer (or whatever you use to browse the internet) page.

When you name the file in Notepad make sure you have .html on the end. I'm sure I wrote a mini tut on it for my yahoo group. Give me 5 and I'll see if I can hunt it down for you.

ETA. I came here directly from email notification and didn't see your last post. Glad you got it sorted.
