Movie Maker Save to DVD

My computer came with Windows Movie Maker already installed on my computer and it has the option "Save to DVD" but my friend just downloaded Movie Maker and it doesn't have this option. I've checked that we have the exact same version.

Is this because it the application doesn't recognize that her computer has a DVD burner? If so, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance
Betty

It could be that her DVD burning software will not burn the file format for windows movie maker (wma I think). I had that problem when using a similar Microsoft Program - Photostory, but my OEM burning software doesn't support that file type.

It's not the software itself that determines that option.. its the OS. Odds are, you are running XP or Vista and you friend is running Media Center Version or something which doesn't come with it..

In any case.. she should just use the Save to Disk option and then use a 3rd party DVD burning software to create the DVD.. Roxio, Nero, etc work just fine.

Look here for help...

Thanks Pesto! I knew there had to be instructions within Microsoft's site but I couldn't find it.
