ACDSee and Digital Scraproom

I was told yesterday that Digital Scraproom and ACDSee were merging and those of us that have already purchased Digital Scraproom will have to NOW purchase ACDSee. Well, we get a BIG 20% off but the fact remains that we have ALREADY purchased one program, why would I want to waste money and purchase another?? Holders of Digital Scraproom should get this other program free IMO! Well, thats just my opinion but wanted to see what others think. Am I wrong?

I don't know...I got the email today about the merger..but I had already bought ACDSee so I didn't fuss, I have both and it is a much better program so it was worth the money to me...and of course I got the darling freebie kit when I bought it from SBB

Can you tell me if ACDSEE is as easy to use as DSR? Since you have both can I pick your brain a little? When you purchased ACDSee did you have to go through keywording all those elements again? Uggg! That thought just doesn't thrill me! What does ACDSee have that DSR doesn't do?

thanks

Thanks so much! I'll go look at them. I just HATE the thought of keywording all those elements again!

Are you not able to us DSR at all now or will they just not support it any longer, or offer any more upgrades?

Oh, we can still use DSR but the support is no longer there nor will we get any upgrades. The very important upgrade that would allow us to search for specific elements was supposed to be in the upgrade that was to come out in Feb ---- then in March --- then NOTHING! I'm thinking I will probably spend the money for ACDSee since I don't think they will be going anywhere and support will always be there.

My email mentioned something about free membership in a kit club for registered DSR users, did you see that? I understand your frustration, but I think they are really trying to be fair. Also, ACD is totally worth the effort of retagging everything, it is AWESOME!
