ACDsee is an organizing program that can do wonderful things. It is being sold through the SBB store. My suggestion is that you go to www.acdsee.com and download the trial version of ACDsee Photo Manager (not the Photo editor unless you interested in a new photo editing program) to see if you like it. If you do, then purchase it through SBB at this link: http://scrapbookbytes.com/store/?cat=330

I love my ACDsee. It was amazing to me how much stuff I had and how many duplicates I had (from moving them around, not buying). I found myself actually enjoying organizing stuff. Now if I want to see all of my elements, I can. If I want to see all of my fasteners, I can. If want to see all of my red papers, I can. Love it.

Shelley Rae, your tip sheet is wonderful!! My favorite tip was how to make ACDsee go directly to my scrapbooking supplies instead of My Pictures. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make this available to us!!

Oh I forgot after I got more Ram and a bigger cooling fan and just ran ACDSee the other night. But when I came back in the morning it said ACDSEE encountered a system error???
So now I suppose I need to did through the tuts section and figure out exactly what causes that!!
I just want ACDSee to run out of the box, I never have issues getting any program to install and run correctly!! I am bummed...
Oh the other thing it does also, is freezes when I click on certain folder on the left hand side.

Hey tracy
Since yu got your computer back Id recommend uninstalling and reinstalling ACDSee
Running the categorization wizard when you first start shouldn't take very long - I have a 520GB drive and it only took me about a half hour.
If it froze - make sure that you let everything load before you start using it - you can see it loading when you first open in the bottom right hand corner - a little flashy bar and a percentage numbers - when it gets to 100% it will dissappear. If you try and use it before its fully loaded it will freeze.

Hi ladies,
We're suggesting that people not do the Categorizing.... just cancel that & carry on. It's causing initial hang ups with our large collections.
