Does anyone know about Paint Shop Pro?

I work for a dentist and we are wanting to use a graphics program for altering the way teeth look to show patients what their smile can look like with cosmetic dentistry. Another dentist has recommended Paint Shop Pro. I know nothing about it. I currently use DIP but don't know my way around it enough to know if it will do what we need. Any advice??

Well, I just realized that it is a Corel program. I should have looked that up first- LOL! I don't see tutorials on this here. How hard is it to learn?

I love PSP. There is even a whitening brush! There are a TON of tutorials out on the internet if you search psp tutorials!

There definately is a learning curve. I've been using it for years but since joining this forum, i've learned a lot more!

I haven't used DIP, so, i can't compare it.

just my 2 cents

If you are real familiar with DIP, you can use the dodge and burn brush or effects>colorize brush to whiten teeth. You might want to use the free hand tool, invert then use the brush or the turn handle to straighten teeth. You can use the handles on the sides and top to change the shape of the teeth. Experiment with it and see if you like the effect?

Learning PSP is not for the faint at heart but once you do you'll be hooked. It's almost as powerful as PS but the cost makes the little things you can't do with it well worth it. So far the only thing that gets me with PSP is the brush size~ Hopefully the will change that the next version that they make.
If you decide to use PSP and have questions you can always come back to this board and ask how to do something.

I find, for me, it was so much easier to understand than PSE4. I love PSP! I have PSPX.
