Thumbs up Digital ScrapRoom review

I know there has been a lot of hoopla about this program and MANY wanting to know more details of how it works in comparison to their current organizer. I have attached my personal review below in pdf format.

KEEP IN MIND - THIS REVIEW IS MY PERSONAL OPINION.

Super cool Amy!!! I was thinking of buying Iview tonight and think I might try out the $20 scraproom first. If it is all you say I guess I won't need to drop bigger bucks on Iview. COOL thanks!

Kim, it's a good little program and being able to export the supply list to save as a text files is fantastic. As newer versions are developed with extra little features I think it will be a really fantastic tool for scrappers.

And what I think is best and to our advantage is that it's geared towards our type of scrapping specifically so is sure to have features added on as they are developed in upgrades that we request or really need. For a first product launch I think it's a great start for a program that "we" as digital scrapookers need and have been asking for!

** update to answer LeeAndra's question in the comments of my blog about how it imports folders **

LA - what it does is this.... let's say I want to import ALL of Jen's stuff (let's pretend I haven't imported any of her items into the program yet) and select the folder I have ALL her stuff saved in. The program then imports all her stuff and creates a new folder the same name of yours it's importing from (ie: if my folder where my Jen goodies are saved is called jen_wilson - it will create and import a folder called: jen_wilson) BUT... what my "issue" was that on top of creating that new folder... if you are like me and leave the kits in their originating folders for the most part; it also imports the folders BY kit that way... ie: jen_wilson > kit name 1 and even subfolders if there are any... I know you are a fellow PSA user and understand how you can sort by import folder, date, etc. BUT it still groups all the tnails in one category that it initially went into and that is what I didn't care for... YES it can do it - BUT ONLY AFTER you drag and drop the thumbnails IN those folders to the main folder (ie: jen_wilson) or where you want it.

Amy,
I have a question that I can't find on the site, does DigitalScraproom recognize .psp files?
I keep a lot of my images and digital items as native .psp files.
Thanks

Tracey, I am not sure about .psp files but it does recognize .psd files.. totally handy for me since my layouts seem to get scattered about.
I will test it right now though if I can find a psp file
