Pesto, I looked for the two programs you mentioned and could only find the idimager to read about. It cost $59.00 with a 21 day trial period. I already have programs that do everything that one does. And I paid a lot less for them. Even Picasa2.0 has more options then DSR does, crop, rotate, colors ect.... but it can't view .psp files big downer for me and a lot of the .png files do NOT show correctly!!
I think the best thing about DSR is the extremely easy to use, no frills that I don't want. Just a very clean fast running cataloging program for my digital scrapbooking items. The thing I like the most is how it saves a file that you can print out, copy/paste of the items you used while creating a LO while using DSR.
As the name implies, it is for scrapbooker, it is not geared to the photographers or whoever else needs a complete fixing, organizing, batch naming program, we don't need to worry about cropping, EXIF info, lightening or darkening our papers and elements.
I personally didn't choose to import any of my digital photo's into DSR, I don't have to view those images or their info in any program. I have them all organized in a folder structure that works well for me. And I have a script in PSP that will place all the EXIF info right onto the image if I needed it. I also do all my photo image correction's in PSP, a program that is more tailored to that ability then say Picasa is...
We just needed something that was fast, easy and DigitalScraproom is it!

I ordered this program and am in love (the ladies in the chat room must think I am the official spokeswoman for it LOL). I love the fact that it keeps a list of the elements I have dragged into my program... oh how nice it is to not have to remember who made every little thing

I am a very organized person, and all my stuff was organized in a way that works very well for me, so the first thing I did was to delete all the pre-made categories, and then just import my stuff in the way it was organized already. Now, the tagging all the items, is very time consuming, but I am already reaping the benefits!

I purchased the program to be able to type in ribbon, pink, tied and get all the pink tied ribbons to come up instead of having to search every kit folder... and it works wonderfully!

I highly suggest this program for anyone who needs to get organized or who wants a nice keyword search feature, but as a lady in chat said... the 20.00 was worth the credits list in itself!

Whoa.. what's up with the tone? I would gladly try the program.. and offer a review - if the author would provide a demo...! I do not purchase software to do a test drive.. that is why I use the alternate products I mentioned... oh well.

Perhaps you could write a review on this program for us after you try it out and have hands on experienece with it.

No tone at all. Just don't think it right to advise against something if you haven't had hands on experience with it. There isn't a demo available but there are quite a few betatesters giving excellent feedback for suggested additions/improvements. A new edition is in the works and will have even more features.

Ok.. sorry.. I'm just able to review what's on her website and go from there since there is no demo available to non-beta users... didn't say you shouldn't buy it.. just said there were other products out there that do the same and much much more and it would be worth a look at these products. good luck with the program and happy days...
