Scrapbooking software question about "Scrapbook MAX!"

Hi everyone! *Great forum*. I joined because I have a scrapbooking software question but from the looks of it there's lots more around here I need to check out too. Here's my question, I'm considering buying this digital scrapbooking tool and I'm curious if anyone here has any opinions on it. It seems good but I just want to make sure before I buy it.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm not familiar with the software but I noticed there's a free trial. I suggest you download that and see if it fits your needs. Be sure to check out the forums here to see what else is available.

Hi Katy and welcome to SBB!! I agree with the other girls, depending on how well and what you already know about digital scrapbooking. It is doubtful that you will like that program to make your Lo's with. Somehow I bet it is just to restrictive in it's abilities.
Here is a link to the tutorials page that details information dealing with programs to use and how to use them for digital scrapbooking!

Hope that helps and would like to see you stay here? We are all really nice and friendly here! Wonderful ladies and fantastic scrap chat to attend in the chat room!

Hello all! I actually work for the company that makes Scrapbook MAX! and wanted to take a minute to respond to this (I hope this is OK).

Scrapbook MAX! is actually pretty open-ended as far as digital scrapbooking goes. It is compatible with all of the digital scrapbooking kits that I have seen. In fact, we purchased most of our template content from professional digital scrapbook layout designers. It supports most image types including JPEG, PNG (32-bit with alpha channel), BMP, TIF, GIF, etc. Many of our users are PS users who enjoy the simplicity of Scrapbook MAX! and use it in conjunction with PS. We deliberately tried not to be like the other digital scrapbooking software titles out there that limit you to their content and clipart. Scrapbook MAX! was designed from the ground-up to meet the needs of digital scrapbookers.

It is a new product, BTW, as we just released it in February. But you will probably start seeing more of it around in magazines and online in the coming months.

Phew, I am a bit long-winded as you can see, but I have been lurking these forums and this site for a while and really enjoy it. I just wanted to make sure to respond and invite all of you to try Scrapbook MAX! for yourselves. In fact, I would love to hear feedback from some of you hardcore digital scrapbookers about the product.

Take care.

Thanks for the input Kapascrap. I may just have to take a look at this program. I for one am glad to learn about products that will help introduce scappers to the world of digital. It might be just the thing for some of my family and friends who have expressed the desire to go digital but haven't been able to master PS or PSE.

Carole,

That is exactly what we are hoping for. Let's face it, PS is the best graphics program period. But the learning curve is steeeeeeep. We are definitely hoping to get more folks into digital scrapbooking for whom PS is intimidating (not to mention expensive!) And even those who use PS may want a faster way to put together layouts sometimes.

BTW, for those of you who make original layouts in PS, please feel free to share them in our template sharing forums if you want to. We are always looking for more content and there are a lot of newbie users on our forums who could use the help and support of experts like those found here. One thing about the digital scrapbooking community that I rarely see elsewhere is the friendliness, support and help that is shared. Keep up the good work!
