Pattie I have to agree with you ..there are so many options for exposure already in most programs and out there as filters that I dont think this one offers anything spectacular enough to have to have.
Silly it does work in DIP
I have been learning a lot about levels and curves to be able to use them more effectively and its really made a big difference to how I edit my shots.
Defaultuser .. largely it depends what the biggets problems are ..color shifts or fading or dust and scratches. You use DIP right? The autofix tool TouchUp> Other > Restore old picture is a good starting point. If it helps, the Advanced Photo Editing Workshop I am going to teach in march/April focuses on Photo Restoration but any tutorial for any program about restorations can be adapted to work in DIP. Using contrast and color controls effectively is probably the technique you most need to learn more about. I am a fan of the power retouche filters
