Happy NSD!!!
Join me at 10 PM EST in the chat room for the LAST NSD chat here at SBB!
We are going to be making a printable “Mother” min album/card.
Find the template here on Digital Scrapbook Magazine’s website:
http://digitalscrapbooking.com/magaz...res/article212
I made a card with mine, printing each layer on cardstock paper, then cutting them out. I adhered the front and back of each letter to each other and then hole-punch and tied ribbon through.
Remember to post to the
NSD 2008 gallery by midnight Monday night to receive another entry in the drawing on Tuesday!

Basic Instructions for use:
When you open the template, you won’t really need the several top layers, only the layers turned on and the “board reverse” layers if you want to decorate the “backs” of your pages if you’re printing this out.
You will basically use this template just like you use any other layered template.
Choose the papers and photos you’d like to put on each letter layer. You’ll use Control G in PS and Alt Control G in PSE to create clipping masks.
Put your papers and elements above the letter you want them on and while having them selected in the layers window, do the control G or alt control G to clip into the letter shape below.
If you want to combine papers and photos for one single letter, you may want to layout that out first, and then merge those layers together, THEN do the clipping mask into the letter below.
When your layers are complete, you can also decorate the “backside” of the letters by decorating the “board reverse” layers the same as above. You’d only want to do this if you plan to print this so that it is an album.
When you’re all done, you can use these letters to make a flat layout or alter them in any fashion you’d like to use them. (If you just want to decorate the letters and use them on a layout, you could use the individual letter layers and then drag those to a layout.
If you want to print this out and make an album from it, you’ll need to print off each individual completed layer onto photo paper. Cut each shape out and then trace the shapes onto chipboard (or whatever you want to use to make the album with). Once your chipboard is cutout, you can adhere the printed photo layers to this and then bind all the pages together with a binding machine or use a hole punch and metal rings.
