I need a littl bit of help with a preschool curriculum

I have a almost 3 year old that is ready to go to school like her sister lol. I was going to enrol her
in school like her I had her sister but she is not yet 3 and so no one will take her also. My Brother
has a little boy that needs to be in preschool but they realy don’t have the money to send him. So
my new plan is to do preschool at home for a year so that he will have someone to do school with
and help out my sil who is totally scared at the idea of trying to do this herself. I have no pob
putting together lessons taught preschool for a little bit years ago and did it for a year with my
oldest ... my only hang up is trying to figure out what order is the best to put all the lessons or in
other words the curriculum. I know it sounds funny but the strangest things give me stress.
Anyone know of somewhere that has a curriculum listed? Preschool or Kindergarten would
work? I know I need to do the letter a week.. but it is working in all the colors and fire safety etc.
Last time I sort of went off of holiday and fire safety week etc. But having to figure all that
outgave me stress. So if anyone can help me please do
Thank you much

Oh there are so many things you can do. I used to teach pre-school. I'll look at my books and try to compile some great resources- If I don't post back send me a PM to remind me.

Thank you Amy

I know there is so much out there. But i just cant find anything that is a flat out curiculumm.... A nice littl list. Like
week one: letter? color
week two:letter ? fire saftey

Or evenjust somthing that lists a bacic order
Letter
color
fire
dog
Dose that make sence. It is just totaly stressing me out to try and rember what holidays are what weeks to try and teach the things that will go with them so that I dont teach them before that. I thought one of the maney preshcool websites that I have found would have somthing but so far not realy. I have tonz of ideas and have no prob puting the lessons together onece i figure out when i need ot teach what... Dose that make sence?

Here in British Columbia, the Ministry of Education posts all the curriculum and Learning Outcomes on their website from K - 12. They cover all subjects, including personal planning, p.e., art and all academic subjects.

I use these Learning Outcomes daily to plan the curriculum and my assessment strategies for my students. Your educational authority in your region may also have a website listing the Learning Outcomes and curriculum.

I'm with Jacquel... See if your local school district has a list of skills your child should have before entering Kindergarten. And once you've gotten them through those skills, see what the standards are for finishing Kindergarten - never too early to give them a head start

Also, the biggest bit of advice I can give you is to make yourself a routine and stick to it. Kids love love love routines. If I do the calendar instead of the head teacher and do a few steps out of order, the kids catch me right away and have me do it the usual way. And don't forget to schedule lots of playtime! I know money is tight but some kind of social activity like a playgroup or tumbling class can help them with the big social adjustment of school. Make sure too to include some kind of PE every day too, having a game to play outside or whatever, get them started early on a healthy lifestyle. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for you to get out and get active with them too! Nature walks can be a lot of fun too, get a leaf book and you can learn the names of all the trees around you.

Preschool Curriculum

You may want to check out http://www.ABCHomePreschool.com since they offer 9 month curriculums for 2 yr olds, 3 yr olds, etc. and you can choose to have all the subjects or just certain ones.

Hope this helps
