My first site about digi scrap in German

I just uploaded my first website on digi scrapping in German (it is my mission to make it more popular in Germany ). I would be more than happy if you took a peek and gave me some feedback. I'm rather new to doing websites and welcome some cc, but please don't be too hard on me. Positive feedback can go to the guestbook, too .

Even if you don't speak German, it is easy to navigate as the links are universal. Could you give me some info on the loading time, since I'm not sure how all those graphics work out (my broadband doesn't give me an idea about dial-up connection times.

You can find it at www.nefkom.info/rikkiscraps

Thanks a lot again to Gina, who let me use her graphics for this project.

Thanks for looking and your feedback.

Hi Rikki, your site looks great and loaded fine for me (I do have broadband though). I just have a little suggestion for you. How about adding some drop shadows to the elements on your pages (ie. the title banner and buttons). It may just add a little something

Also, I found the text on the home page a little small and is probably difficult to read (even if I did speak German half as well as you speak English LOL ). But those are just little things. I think your site looks really good and I love the colour scheme you've chosen and the background looks great too

I think you did a great job. It navigates very well. I'm sure you will find yourself tweaking it here and there along the way. I've had a genealogy website for a few years and it has been tweaked many times.

Thanks

Thanks for your kind comments. I know the site is only small, but I'll extend it and tweak it whenever I've got time.

Pam:
thanks for your suggestions. I wanted to do drop shadows, but didn't know how to make them look halfway decent. When I actually loaded the pages in a browser, the shadows looked very ugly and "pixel-y" . Do you have any idea how I could do that properly?
I know the font might be a bit small, I think with the next update I'll change that.

Thanks again.

Hi Rikki,

that's great to have a page in German as well.
I love how it looks and will visit very often!

Rikki I wish I could help but I've never done any web page authoring myself so I don't know how to help with the drop shadows. Sorry Don't worry about it too much though, your site looks really great, it was just a little suggestion.

Perhaps someone else will be able to help with your shadows
