Question potty training

it's that time guys!!!
my youngest dd is 2 and i am ready to go!
she's ready too, when she tells me she has to go, she does go, she just doesnt tell me everytime she has to go. usually tells me once a day! all the other times i have to bribe her to get on the pot. i haven' t really buckled down and made a good, sincere effort at getting her trained, but now i think the time has come!
anyone with some tried and true tips! i'm a sahm, so no problems there.
ok guys , i'm ready to hear how you did it!

What are you using? Pull Ups, underwear??

I have a 2 year old in training too and we let her walk around the house in a long tshirt or dress with nothing on underneath. (we have been staying home alot lately to get her trained ASAP)

When she has to go, she knows she doesn't want to go on the floor, so she runs to the potty and she is very proud when she has gone without anyone asking her
HTH....I know it works for alot of others I have spoken with also.

Valerie,
We are just starting too and though my oldest DD was trained at 18 months our youngest is much different than she was.... so we of course need to approach this differently - almost like doing it for the first time

Oh, for a very different approach, you need to read the story of Josh's potty buckets at his orphanage in Ukraine! Worked like a charm for him, but if you get time, you gotta read it! I've got a few pics too!! It's at www.scrapster.com under meet scrapster and click on the adoption story! It's on Day 6 at the bottom if you don't want the whole long story! Probably won't help you, but it might make you think about it! Worked for us!

So far we have been through it 3 times. My boys potty trained at 3 and my daughter at 2. All of them let me know they were ready and after that it was just a matter of getting them there in time! It was really easy and I didn't really do anything special. We have always used cloth diapers and went straight into cloth undies. For a while I still used a cloth diaper at night just in case.

Not much help am I? Good luck!

Your poor girl, Valerie! I'm sending her lots of cyber hugs and hope she feels better soon!!! Good luck with the potty training! I'm not too far behind you in that department...dd is 18 months old, so I'm thinking she'll probably start showing signs of being ready sometime this summer...yikes!!! I can't believe how quickly they grow!!!
