I know that feeling. We adopted our DD in Dec. 2002 (born April 2002). She was born in Guatemala. We were so excited when we got the "call" to travel & get our precious little angel. It was the best feeling to finally have her in my arms!!!

Congratulations!!!!! We didn't have a birth mom select us (since it was an international adoption, the agency does it) but I remember that call from the agency and it is so thrilling! I can imagine you've been on a major high!!!! Thanks for noticing my journaling (thanks also Jodi for pointing it out)! If I can be of any help, let me know!!! I've got lots of great adoption poems. Here's one of my favorites:

I didn't give you the gift of life,
But in my heart I know,
The love I feel is as deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other,
Is like a dream come true,
No, I didn't give you the gift of life,
Life gave me the gift of you!!!!
