Holy stress Batman!

Ok I normally dont do this kind of post but I am just freaking out and I dont have anyone to rant to. I know I told the ladies at the June crop that my bf asked me to move in with him while I was cropping with you guys . lol he has a weird sense of timing and romance but hey, he's a package deal lol. Anyways, Im thinking that yeah, ok we'll move in together this is great! we've been dating three years so Im totally ready, I was just waiting for him to be so Im super happy about it all....
The catch? I have to move from Jersey to Baltimore. Keep in mind this makes my 4 hour daily commute into a 6 hour daily commute ( which I used to driving but god this just blows,) I am now on probation at my job because they want to make sure I still do my job ( since Im a sales rep and work remotely) and lets just face it obs are hard to come by.
I thought we would have some time to move but I just found out that Jays unit is doing a month long stint in August ( he starts his new job Sept 1st) so that now means we have to move in July. I am traveling for work all next week( and he has reserve duty again during that week too) this week in the fourth, we are on vacation in FL the week of the 20-27th and his brother gets married on August 8th so that leaves us with precisely one week of availability to pack up two houses, find an apartment and move. It's also my busiest work season of the year ( waayy bigger than xmas) with Back to school ordering going on in the art and craft world.
Im going to stroke.
Thanks for listening to me vent ladies!
Bre

You mean 6 hours total, right? Three hours each way? At first I was thinking 6 hours one way, but 12 hours every day would be ridiculous. And with the price of gas, YIKES! Six hours total is bad enough! As someone who lives 10 minutes away from where she works, I still think that sounds horrible! Could you start looking for a job closer to Baltimore? I know you said jobs can be hard to find, but you never know--maybe you'll get lucky. But yikes! One week to get ready for a move? I don't think I could do it. I don't really have any advice, but you have my sympathy.

A 6 hour commute? You've got to be kidding? Talk about being stressed out after the first week and not having any time or energy to do anything. If I had to drive that every day, I'd probably fall asleep driving on the 2nd day and end up in the ditch. WOW. The price of gas alone would be horrible. Gosh, in the winter it would really be bad.

Would hope you could find another job, or teleacommute. Know what it's like to be young and in love....but................unless you can manage stress very, very, very well....he'll more than likely notice you are going to start being crabby a lot after the first week. I hope he is willing to clean house, cook, fill up your car with gas and take on the household chores on his own....otherwise, it's really going to be a killer.

Wish you the very, very, best of luck. Keep us posted!

Ohhhh - big decisions!!! Best wishes to you. Just listen to and believe in yourself - we usually know the right thing to do if we do that.

Geez- I got stressed out just reading this. I just crawl through the fence of our property to get to work. Can't imagine commuting- the personal time it uses up and the gas prices- OMG. Maybe you could consider both relocating to a location in between. Take lots of deep breaths! Hope the stress doesn't dampen the love.
