plates for kids?

I'm looking for some kid safe, microwavable plates that are a regular size. I'm not interested in character plates. I need something that is microwavable, shatter proof and a normal size plate - my kids' food won't fit on a kid plate anymore. I know tupperware has some but they're pricey for what you get.

Thanks Sarah, but I need flat ones. I have some small divided ones for the kids now and part of the problem is fitting them in with all my dishes. The divided ones just don't stack well and it bugs me.

We just use Corelle dishes - luncheon plate size for the girls.
They are microwave safe, dishwasher safe and shatter-proof under normal circumstances.
We are able to buy one plate at a time at the WalMart here.

ahhh Yep, try the ones Colleen mentioned. I have some of those too and use those even with the girls when I need flat dishes for more items then the divided plates give me. you can buy them in sets at the walmart, and often pick up extra singles too. I know there are some outlets you can get some of them as well.

...and for the Corelle... DH had a set when we got back together in 1991, and we still have most of the set (BBQ "accident" with one plate, but it only broke into two large pieces). Right now I have a 16-place setting of Corelle so I don't need to pull out my antique china when we have guests over for meals.

I use Corelle as well. DH has dropped several on our granite kitchen floor and they surprisely did not shatter.

Hmm. Ok, I think I remember those from when I was a kid too. It will make nice everyday dinnerware too to replace what we have. I think the kids will like eating off grown up plates too.
