I thought Corelle had a shatter-proof warranty? Might be something to look into.

Side Note: When I was bartender in a nightclub many years ago, the shatterproof stemmed glasses seemed to "expire" with age and simply explode while they were hanging in the racks overhead. Those expired glasses exploded into tiny shards of glass, but if a newer one was broken it broke into large chunks. Guess things might just break down with age?

How many people do you know that had cataract surgeries on BOTH eyes before they turned 40???
Guess I must have "expired" some time before that.

LOL!! oh I too am feeling like I'm WAY too young to be so old right now. I've had all these medical issues in the last couple months and so many specialists, that no one single 30something year old should be having to see! siiigh..

I contacted them when the first one broke. They replaced the plate and sent a letter with an explanation something to the effect that even though it has a shatter-proof warranty that doesn't mean they won't break. HUH? I haven't bothered since then cause the pattern I have is so old they don't have it anymore. But I picked up a few replacements at a thrift store.
