the logic of a child
My DH has an uncle who tests explosives. I was explaining this to my five-year-old today, telling him "he gets to blow stuff up for a living." I got a very strange look from him then and first he said "why?" Before could answer he said to me, "Mom you need to have a lot of air in your body for that." A couple of beats later I finally got what he thought I meant and had a good chuckle. I can just imagine him envisioning his uncle blowing up balloons and other inflatables and getting paid for it. LOL.

LOL! That's too funny!
A few weeks ago, I noticed my 3-year-old sounded a little stuffed up. I said, "Oh no, are you getting a little cold?" to which he replied, "No, I a little hot." It totally makes you realize how silly our language can be.

Those are both too funny and Meg you're right about our language - I remember when I was little, my parents talking about the Guerrillas in Cuba and thinking who would give a gorilla a gun??

LOl - every day I ask 5yo dd how school was and the other day her answer was (in a very cross voice) - "Stop asking me that question - my head is full up with all the questions I get asked all day and I can't take anymore"
