I agree that they are astoundingly organized. I have wanted to implement some of their ideas in my house for a long time. My biggest issue with larger families is the amount of responsibility that falls on the older siblings with regard to the younger. I know, I know...that is what family is. But, my dh was the 2nd oldest of 7, and he feels that his parents took unfair advantage of him for free labor and babysitting. I know a lot of kids from big families who feel this way.

I'm sure it's different in every family. And the Duggar kids don't seem to mind. But, and mind you this is just me personally, I feel guilty that I have asked for so much help from my older kids with the younger. And, if I feel like this with 5, I know that I just could never do 18.

It works for the Duggars, and they make it ALMOST

look easy. They are amazing. I maintain though.....Better them than me!

OMG...Yes, two is enough for me also. I couldn't imagine all that chaos in one home. LOL

I just checked out the link from Dena....wow! Why do they always use 'j' names? That would make the household more confusing! I only have three kids and I sometimes say the wrong name!!

I have been pregnant 13 times. I have four living children. Had they all survived, I would have 2 sets of twins, one set of triplets, the rest singletons. I nearly died delivering 2 of them that did live. Would I do it all over the same again had I known the possible outcome? You can bet your life I would. In a heartbeat.

Wow! You have certainly been through a lot! It's wonderful that you have stayed so positive in spite of your adversity. That's a wonderful blessing.

I still want more children. The most my body will have I want.
If this is the end of it, really with any desire wish or dream I have, then I still leave a rewarded individual. Thankful for the blessings that I have had.
