Great Idea...

I just had a great idea... I am sitting hear printing off the same thing over and over (journaling) trying to get the spacing right before i print it on the real paper. I am frustrated at how much paper i have waisted and that it has taken so long to get it right... When i had a thought wouldn't it be wonderful if there was and item you could run through your printer for test prints ... that you could wipe clean and use over and over... The could have white and clear. Oh what a wonderful dream.

This is where the recycle pile comes in handy! I save all the junk mail I get that is 8.5x11 with basically one clean side...then use it for testing... I even snaffled up a whole pile of papers from work (was a policy manual with hundreds of pages printed one side) that nobody will ever see except me! What a find!

I have the same thing... all of my girls school papers go into a pile and unless it is an important print i print on the back side of the papers... My grandma use to do the same thin for phone note pads chop the paper into 1/4 and staple at the corner works wonderfully... I also have a stack of old dot matrix paper i acquired from my church when they got a new printer been working on that stack for years now.

I do the same thing. On the first work day of the month, several reports are automatically printed on our printer - one day the printer went crazy and printer 5 reams of one line garbage per page. The secretary was about to stick in the recycle bin but I snatched it.

What a waste it would be!
