I do tend to keep a tighter ship when DH is home, but he usually has one trip for a few nights each year. Dinner is later, dishes get done later, kids and I don't get dressed if we don't have to, etc. My little one does get sad, though, because he is her "favorite person." Makes his return all the sweeter.

I agree with all of you! DH is out of town right now and will be going again next week. The only thing I don't like is being a "single parent"--DH really helps a lot with the kids. When he's gone, we eat out, I let the kids stay up a bit later and one of them gets to sleep in my bed (a special privilege). If I had the time without kids and DH, I'd sleep in, eat out and scrap all day. I'd love having a clean house and no one following behind me to mess it up again
