So sorry
 Would it be possible to post a note/sign where the scooter was taken and ask for it back (no questions asked if need be) and write a little sentence about how you young child "needed" this form of transportation due to her health issue!!If you have a photo of it post with that note also and maybe just maybe some will recognize it and report where it is at to you.

Oh, so sorry this happened! Do you have a local paper that would print your story. Maybe someone took it because they didn't know it was left there for a reason. If they read the story, they might return it.

oh no this is such sad news, I truly hope somebody brings back the scooter!
Call the police and the local newspaper, it mightr help if the 'public' knows!

What a sad thing to happen to a child. I hope someone returns it. I agree post it in the paper and with the Police and maybe someone will return it. We are living in a different world today. TOO SAD.

Thank you all for the kind words, I am too sad to tell you the truth, we have parked things off the road in a village with 500 people population, so to have something taken like that is quite a shock anyway... I tend to take a Swiss stand on this one, it must have been somebody from the outside, who parked the car in the same spot as us and out scooters, did whatever they came for, and leaving picked up the one that was shiny and new, leaving us at least the old one, thank Goodness for that, and put it into the trunk and left... But still the wickedness of stealing, and stealing from a child.
 Makes me sick. Last time they threw it into the pit behind the bins (must have been a kid) eventually (that's a few months back, when the old scooter was newer), so I am still checking there every day in the hope...
