SOMEONE CURE MY HUSBAND....

he's been sick all week with the flu or cold or something; but what I want to know... is why men just don't go back to bed or take medicine and suck it up? LOL... he has gone around the house complaining 24/7... i mean c'mon - i know he's sick; he doesn't have to do anything around here but go back to bed and sleep. And top it off he's been barking at me and the kids about every little and STUPID thing... ugh!!!!

i can't wait for him to get better; he's worse than a child!!!!!

ok vent done - maybe i'll get some scrapping done later! LOL

My DH got sick mid December and is still not 100 percent well. He even wrenched his side from coughing so hard and often. Luckily for me (and him), he's not a complainer. Didn't even miss any work.

I hope that your's gets better soon. For your sake! LOL

How did his mom treat him when he was sick--that's a BIG clue. He wants all kinds of attention now that he's sicky-poo.

My hubby is sick too. He WILL NOT take a sick day from work. Honesty, in the seven years we have been married, I can't think of even one time when he took a sick day. So, his illnesses linger and linger. If he would take a break and rest, I know he would get better much sooner. His mom is someone who really caters to the men in her family, but I think he's learned that I don't do that, so he's not too whiney. Although, he has said several times, "I'm gonna die." I just roll my eyes and say, "You're not gonna die." Oh - I'm sooo sympathetic. After being pregnant, I just don't feel so bad for him! Can I hear an AMEN!

From a nursing stand point...these men should stay home and not take the chance of passing that nasty flu to others!!!! These "guys" might be tough but not everyone else is...and this year the flu is very nasty!! (In the chest this time...hard to shake off.) Please tell them to be considerate of other people!!! It is as easy to catch as touching a door knob, etc. Most people don't WASH THEIR HANDS which is the BEST defense there is!! <<<getting off my soap box now..>>>>

I tell my husband that this is all because of testosterone poisoning. When I'm sick I don't have the luxury of moping around and complaining. I still have kids to care for and businesses to run. In general I think that women are more likley to take something to make things manageable and move on with their day. It's not weakness to need medicine or rest. I swear men are so silly sometimes. Of course there's the other side of the coin when they are really hurt and limp around grimacing saying, "I'm fine. I just twisted/jammed/stubbed... it." I'm convinced they have a secret plan in which this is done to make us (women) crazy. BTW, the kids are in on that plan too.

LOL Ain't that the truth! When I my ex was sick he turned back into that horrible needy little boy his mother treated him like!
Amy, hope he gets better soon, start dishing out a little bit of the chores to him and see if he gets better sooner! LOL
