kids say....

I love the kids at this age (teach 3rd grade).. One of my students says to me.. my dad taught me this cool way to remember how to spell attic!

So I say.. oh and how's that??

He pulls the front of his shirt open and peers down and spells.. a-t-t-i-c and walks away...

well.. it took me a moment..but then it's like OHHHHHH!!

I had to ask him not to umm SHARE this info with anyone else

Too funny Lisa! Hey, I guess I'll see for myself in a couple hours! I'm going to "observe" Lisa's class this afternoon for part of my 100 hours for my classes! Thanks for having me Lisa, every hour ads up and gives me more "insight" into my future as a teacher!

Teachers are the best! You certainly don't get paid or appreciated as much as you should.

lol!!
My dental hygienist's 16 yr old daughter went to the dermatologist for a rash on her back. She phoned her daughter to see how the appointment went.
She nonchalantly said "Fine Mom, I just have syphilis"...
Mom said 'What??Hand the phone to your father please!'
Dad (bursting out laughing) said.. 'She has a spot of PSORIASIS'

These are great.

My three year old is stuck on everything private. For instance, he won't let me help him in the bathroom 'cause "that's private." And I'm not allowed to see his bellybutton, because that's "private." Of course, that doesn't apply when we're in a public bathroom and he says "mommy, do you have to go peepee or poopee?" And it certainly doesn't apply when he wants me to sing about his penis.

And I'll never forget the first time my oldest noticed that people come in different colors. We were in a restaurant and he looked at our server and said loudly, "Mommy, what color is she!"

My kids are troopers at making remarks when you do not want to hear them.....Specially my oldest Jeroen he's the master of disaster trust me....

I think Jeroen was 3 and jelled 'I want I want' everytime he wanted something. In stores, in lines in front of the checkout you know those candy racks, and at home when he wanted chips, watch a movie and so on. You know the toddler fits and tantrums and such.

I always nicely replied, 'You should know what mommy wants!'
So 1 day my DH was in a lovely mood, and while I replied my 'you should know what mommy wants'; Dh blurts out 'your mom wants to get laid....'

The next day I stand in line in front of the check out at our very loacl in the street supermarket. everyone knows everyone there and the cash girls and store workers are all teens from the streets we live and walk daily.

So Jeroen comes with his famous sentence 'I want candy, I want candy, I want cady..."
I reply 'You should know what mommy wants'.
Before I can blink he replies 'yes mom you want to get laid we all know THAT'.

How you wish to vanish in thin air at such a moment.

And there are a lot of situations that I wished he would keep his mouth shut...
