Can I use the add/remove feature for Nortons?

Norton's Anti Virus from my sons computer?

Or is there a better way to make sure all parts of it are gone FOREVER and ever! LOL

Tonight while trying to help him with his Ipod and downloading the program ITunes...that darn Nortons totally takes over the laptop so tightly that a person can't even move forward.

I have NEVER used Nortons and I NEVER will! LOL

Next question....any Ipod and Itune users around here?

The kids got these from their dad for their BD's and christmas gifts and I haven't seen any documentation on how to use them.

So far all I have had is nightmares trying to figure out which program I need to use to transfer music to the darn little things.

is it possible to just drag and drop music files to the Ipod folder?
I tried, I can't and I don't understand!

Lost in IPOD land! LOL

I removed Mum's Norton recently, but I think I did it from its own uninstall command. I read around on Google about how hard it is to remove and they recommended all manner of programs and registry editing to make a clean sweep.

i just did it the ordinary way and it seemed to work!

Can't help with iPod, I haven't got one

You're up already! LOL

Well I did it cuz I couldn't wait any longer and so far so good! Really makes a heck of a difference on his speed as it isn't bogging down on every little thing I wanted to do.

Loading AVG and Anit-spam and spyware rigth now and then to defrag it while I go to bed! Hopefully it will be done by morning LOL

here is what I found out; with my Ipod - just use the ITunes software. Be careful if you are looking for subscription services - MOST don't accomodate the Applie Ipods - surprise there right?

I will never use Norton again. It was a big pain. I have been using McAfee for three years now and I love it.

Aahhh so you are saying that the music I have from a subscription site (not from ITunes) can't be loaded into the ipod?

How about music from my own CD's, can I put those music files onto those darn Ipods?

I have to say since, I am not a person who needs to have music piped into my head during the day! I think these things are pesky little buggers to figure out.

Ang: Yes in all my years having computers I have never had any of those software programs. First because in the beginning there just weren't as many viruses or ways to spread them. Second my Computer guy is totally against them and installs other programs instead and in over 14 years I can say I have never had 1 virus or phishing anythings get at my computer and cause damage in anyway!
Course it really helps to have good web site browsing habits and not open any emails just out of curiosity! LOL
