looks like I'll be moving my office to B&N or McDonald's this week!

LOL! Ok -most of my "work" I do need is on the laptop - so I call this my "office" but - ACK... it's going to be dreadfully hot and we don't HAVE ANY AIR CONDITIONING in this house!!!! At least B&N and McDonald's are air conditioning AND have hot spot wireless connections! LAURIE YOU JOINING ME for a few hours this week? Or are you shacking it up in your bedroom! LOL (she has air conditioner in her bedroom). Tuesday and Wednesday apparently will truly feel like *you know what*!!!!

This was just issued moments ago - WE LIVE IN NY STATE - what's up with that!!!

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

A VERY HOT AND HUMID AIRMASS WILL MOVE INTO CENTRAL NEW YORK AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. ON TUESDAY, HIGH TEMPERATURE IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S, COMBINED WITH DEW POINTS IN THE LOWER TO MID 70S, WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDICES OF 105 TO 110 DEGREES. THERE WON'T BE MUCH RELIEF FROM THE OPPRESSIVE HEAT AND HUMIDITY ON TUESDAY NIGHT, AS MOST AREAS WILL ONLY SEE LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MID 70S. HIGH TEMPERATURES MAY BE A FEW DEGREE COOLER ON WEDNESDAY, BUT HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED TO PEAK BETWEEN 100 AND 105 DEGREES DURING THE AFTERNOON.

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH MEANS THAT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DURING PERIODS OF EXCESSIVE HEAT, MAKE SURE THAT YOU DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR- CONDITIONED ROOM...AND STAY OUT OF THE SUN.

Amy, I feel for you!

It was 111 here for 4 days straight... we do not have central air in our house... only a couple window a/c's in the bedrooms and one in the family room... so I know exactly how you feel!

Drinks lots of cold water to keep you hydrated!

I don't know how I'd live without central air - sounds like Mickie D's is a safe alternative, just watch out for the fries! LOL. Hope it cools down for you soon.

Yeah...I forgot about being able to turn only the fan on my furnance...for me it is hooking up the green wire. So now I am happily suck and blowing the cold air from my basement into the much hotter top floor!!! I have a window AC in my office but it doesn't do much good in the rest of the house.
We have had hot, hot weather since July 4 and the last few days 90+, I feel for you Amy and everyone who is too hot!

How do people live without AC? It is 102 out on my shaded porch - I don't even want to know what the heat index is!

Need to come down here for the week? lol
