Go Lori GO!
I agree just reading the email title is enough. Some great tips just for everday life in general.
Saying this from someone sitting in a pile of clothes.. my entire closet came crashing down (those crappy wire racks that the builder put in) SIGH. Well that is one way to clean out my closet except now I have to wait for dh to fix it before I can paint it and organize it.... someday!

I hope he's not as bad with projects as my dh Dani.... I've been waiting 12 years for the windows in the kitchen to be taken care of... still have the sheetrock to look at... ugh! Good luck with your closet!

I have been doing FlyLady off and on for years now! It really does work! And Dani: YES, you HAVE to put your shoes on - it makes a difference, honest. Love her.

one thing though, after reading the last post... instead of the Goodwill, you may be interested in Free-Cycle. A lot of communities have divisions. I love it! I've given away lots there as well as found some needed items, like a table when we moved without most of our stuff.

Anyway, just thought I'd add my 2 cents.
Freecycle is great but I need to get rid of "stuff" almost instantly or I'll find a reason to keep it. So I load it in the trunk of my car and go by the Goodwill pickup center on the way to work and offload it there. I know me much too well, I LOVE my stuff. And if I have time for second thoughts, it would never leave. Having said that, I do list some things on Freecycle and feel good when somebody wants it!!

Don't let it overwhelm you. The site is somewhat disorganized (after all, she did need help getting her life "organized" when she started all this) so that makes it a little hard to follow. But start with the minimal "evening routine" and the "morning routine" and do the rest once you get those down pat.

Gee, I'm getting myself all excited about doing these things! My house is going to benefit from this thread. I had a WONDERFUL 27-fling boogie today that ended up being a gazillion-fling boogie. Three trashbags loads - 2 in the trash and 1 in the trunk of my car. What a load off my shoulders!!! After all, the most important thing I learned from all of this is that "You can't organize clutter." Clutter has to go.

LOL Stacey! I hear you Simplyred on the letting go of stuff... I got rid of a couple of things on freecycle, but it was a pain when people didn't show up to get stuff and it was still sitting in my basement.... I need it to GO when I pack it up, or otherwise it will be right back where it was. Although somestimes I'm even bad with that... I had a bag of boys clothes to go to Goodwill and left it outside (duh!) instead of putting it into the car... well of course it rained, and I ended up having to wash the clothes and dry them again BEFORE I could even get rid of them! Lesson learned! LOL!
