I have never paper scrapped, nmostly because what I saw out there (my limited perception of the scrapping world) was that children where the only worth while subject. My sister, a paper scrapper and CMC, never scrapped until she had her first child. It seems children are so ingrained in the idea of scrapping, like the rest of us have nothing worth documenting? Grrr...
I scrapped our wedding. I scrap our three cats. I scrap the world around me, what I see, what it's like to be me. If these dang Kodak-photo-paper printouts last a few generations, I'd think future humans would love to see the way my city looks now, what our apartment looks like, the stuff that ends up in the blurred out backgrounds of scrapper's children pictures.
We hope to have a baby (or two, or three) someday. But that's at bare minimum a year+ away. What, I should stop having a hobby until I have a child? Something tells me when I do have a child, I won't have the time, energy or patience to scrap everyday!
I do scrap my neices and nephews, because they are a big part of my life. And they LOVE to see themselves in my books! But I have tons of layouts that don't even have people in them, let alone children.
You're not alone!
