We can't wait to see Cars! We are such big NASCAR and IRL fans

We have not been to see Ice Age 2 since we were told there are some swear words and we don't want our kids picking up on that.

Over the Hedge we haven't seen yet, but plan to.

We are also waiting for Cars!! We did go see Ice Age 2, BEFORE we realized that there were swear words in it, not bad, but if your child picks up on them and you don't want them to hear that I would say skip it. Same with Over the Hedge. My husband & I saw previews to it when we were at the movies and it definately seems to be more older children content, not necessarily swearing, but I don't think a 3 year old would grasp all of it. I may be wrong on that one, but we decided against seeing it.

I went and saw IA, boring. Ok, we thought it was boring for our kids... my youngest is 13.

Here is a run-down on the show.

I really like www.kidsinmind.com They give you a review based on sex, violence and language and tells you why it is rated the way it is. I really appreciate their unbiased reviews.

We are going to see Over the Hedge on Monday with our 6 and 10 year olds, I think they'll do just fine. We watched King Kong tonight and it was very intense. Didtn't really want the kids to see it at all, but they've seen Harry Potter and said nothing could be more scary than that, and I had no idea how intense it would be. Those natives were FREAKY! We'll see if we wake up with nightmares tonight or not. I'm a firm believer in "WATCHING WITH YOUR KIDS", if you are there to explain things, they will both gain the experience of seeing, and the knowledge of understanding!

DVD wise we watched Chicken Little, Hoodwinks and Nanny McPhee this weekend. My girls are 10, 8 & 7 and they really liked all three.

I decided on Ice Age 2, he sat through almost an entire hour which surprised me. Cute movie!

Can anyone tell me why people insist on sitting close to other people? there were 3 groups of people in a large theater and they HAD to sit right behind me and kick my seat? I got up and moved, but still!
