AI -- Chris fans, VENT HERE!
Let me start off by saying I am NOT a fan of American Idol (let's see, they don't WRITE the songs, or even play an instrument! What kind of American Idol is that!?!?), but for once they had someone who seemed to have some artistic integrity...
And from all the blogs I read, I know there are a TON of AI fans in the digiscrap world, so I just know you all are still crying in your frenchvanilla cinnamon hazelnut swisschocolate flavored coffee this morning...

I watch AI but not a huge huge fan of it, but intertainment anyhow!! Yes when Chris got booted last night I was shocked!!
Hopefully however now he will have more freedom to follow his own path in the music industry. Like we have William Hung appearing this week at the Mall Of America in the Twin Cities!! Look what happened to that guy who couldn't sing to save his soul!! So if William can do that, image what Chris will be able to do...

Hmm... I have not really watched this season because I thought it was very boring from the start. I watched nearly every show last season, and I was and still am a huge Bo Bice fan. He was such a breath of fresh air. With Chris I kept getting the feeling that the producers were trying to keep the momentum from last season going. However, it it my personal humble opinion that he was not much more than a Bice wannabe or the producers made it look like it. This really turned me off right away and for some reason I was never able to "warm up" to him. So, I guess, in a way I am glad to see him go. I love originality, this is why my fave this year is Taylor. I admit, he may not be the best but he is original.

NOOOOOO!!! I hadn't watched it very much this season at all but last week fell in love with Chris - his style - his sexy looks, etc. NO WAY! I'm shocked!
I'm pretty sure Gina is a Chris LOOOOVVVER and will not be happy.

Even some of us Canadians watch AI, and let me tell you that my whole family was extremely...(can't use those words in the forum) last night. Being trained in music, I KNOW which idols have talent and the finale should have been between Chris and that McPhee girl. They have the voices and personalities required to have a thriving career in the music industry. Even if they don't win, those two will be successful. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris already has a record deal offered.
And sweet Jana... Bo looked like a rocker, and sang good enough that he could have won last year, but have you listened to his album he released since idol? Not really what I expected from the guy we saw on TV. Bo is a really great singer, and I will look forward to his future CD releases as long as he puts his heart into it.

Being a fellow Alabamian, Bo's CD got A LOT of air play around here. I agree, I was disappointed and thought that he could do SO much better. But one also have to consider that he's stuck with a contract for a certain amount of time. I guess only time can tell. On the same note, it was probably a blessing for Chris to be kicked out. I don't know for how long he's stuck with AI, but I am sure he'll have more creative freedom now than if he had won.
PS. Speaking of contract. Yesterday I heard somewhere that Ace was offered a 6-digit sum by Play Girl magazine for a nude photo shoot. Sadly, he as well has to wait for his AI contract to expire. Ace might not have a chance as a singer, but boy that guy looks yummy.
