Awesome news about my dear husband- Praise God!

Hello all!
I thought I'd start a new thread to share my excitement!

Here's the original thread- in case you hadn't read it yet:
More prayers needed for my dear husband

Val is doing awesome as of this afternoon! I haven't talked to him tonight because I want him to be able to get some sleep. They said he could sit up at midnight finally. I guess it's 6 hours from the time that they take the sheath out that he has to lay flat on his back- I thought the clock started at the end of the surgery. He already said his back was killing him at 6 p.m. I told him to try and sleep- so time would go faster.

Anyway- the doctor was able to place 2 stents in there!

Val told me after he got back from the surgery that he felt a lot better! I was in shock let me tell ya! Val has had lots of surgeries/procedures done- and every time he comes back from one, he says he feels terrible- worse than before he went in. Which of course is understandable after his bypass surgery- LOL, but seriously I am sooooooo happy!

Please pray that these new stents will work to prevent too much tissue from building up. That happens in 10-30% of patients- which of course is Val! They keep trying different chemicals on the stents- hoping that one will work better than what they used to use.

The body is supposed to build up a little tissue to help hold the stent in place, but not too much to cause a blockage. The trouble is, Val's body produces a LOT of scar tissue after any cut- or in this case irritation from the stent.

I saw the before and after pics- and I could definitely see the difference! He had 3 blockages, but they were close enough together that the doctor only needed to place 2 stents.

Thank you so much prayer warriors- I am in awe of your kindness! Thanks also for sharing your stories of encouragement! And Shawn- I might need to take you up on that hug LOL, although these virtual hugs are awesome too!

(((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to all of you- you're the best!

((((((HUGS)))))) back at you hon. I've been praying and watching for news. I'm glad to see you're feeling so much happier and more optimistic. It's good too that you provided very specific information about your husband's condition. I believe the more specific we can be about what we are praying for, the more likely the result will be positive. Please keep us posted and take care of yourself too dear friend.
Hugs!!

GREAT NEWS, LAURIE! I hope Val gets lots of sleep, so the time speeds by until he can get really comfortable again.
