I noticed Amy is looking for donations/sponsorships to keep SBB up and running. Has anybody done this? What is an appropriate amount? I don't have any idea what it costs to maintain a web site such as this.

As much as I love this site, I want to contribute my part to keep it running.

I know! This site has grown so much that I'm sure bandwidth and server space is getting costly. But it's worth it, eh?!

As to what to donate....whatever you feel comfortable with. Considering we have over 700 members...if everyone just donated one dollar, that would be a big help. Of course, that means everyone would need to play. I think every dollar helps. If you can budget $1, fine. If you can drop a 5-spot...great! If you can afford more...whoooooo hooooo!

I say your best contribution is in convincing the other members to donate. The more people that donate, the less money they all have to donate to keep the site flush.

And just wait until you see the newsletter! It's SO worth it. Just get ready to spend an hour going through it. It's huge! Thanks for asking Kristi! SBB is grateful for whatever you can share.

I just donated $5.00 via PayPal. It's not a lot, but all that I can afford right now. I challenge other members to match my donation. If just 40 other people do that it would keep this place going for a few months at least.
I know times are tough. I'm po' folk, but squeezed out what I could for a good cause. I hope others will too.

Joyce...I accept your challenge, and I encourage others to do the same. I am sorry...with everything that is available here, every one of us should donate SOMEthing! Its not often that one can find resources that are available as they are here......and available FREE!!

I love this site, and its hard to put a price on the advice and inspiration that can be found here. I'm sure our words of praise warms the heart....but they dont pay the bills!!

Okay - I accepted Joyce's challenge for myself and 4 others that may not have even $5 to spare. I LOVE THIS SITE and all the friendships and fun it has brought me. Twenty-five bucks is NOWHERE NEAR the amount I woul have to give to express the gratitude I have for your generosity and time - AMY for founding and the Design Team for ***isting.

I agree with you, my donation is in ... this site has inspired me to get back into getting my scrapbooking done after taking almost a year off.... the effort put in by Amy, the design team, and the members is incredible. I just upgraded the size on my own website and was amazed at the cost, and wondered how this site was handling it financially as it can get quite pricey. Glad to see they are asking for help!
