I've seen that quite a few of you are from Texas. I'm not originally from Texas, but have lived here for 3 years. We currently live in the Dallas area. McKinney. Although, we are moving to Austin in 2 weeks.

Hi Amanda! Fellow Texan and Austinite here! Congrats on moving to Austin! What part of town will you be living in? My husband and I live in Cedar Park! My mom- who is also a member of this site lives in South Austin! I really love it here!

Another Texan here... well, one for the last two years at least. We are Northeast of San Antonio...only 45 mi from Austin.

so sorry, but as an almost lifetime ohioan, the first thing that jumped into my head - there are only two things that come from texas........................... sorry! just hadta say it! it's my redneck duty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does a transplanted Texas count? I moved to Iowa when I was 19. I used to live in Houston and Columbus. I have lived here for going on 20 years now. I miss the Texas winters terribly! I feel like a popsicle up here in the winter. I have to add I sure don't miss the Texas summers. I can remember not having air conditioning one summer and all of the candles in the house completely melted from the fierce heat. That's the summer I lived at the pool.

Austin, TX here! We're right between Round Rock and Cedar Park. RR is 10 minutes that way and Cedar Park is 10 minutes the other that way.
