So am I crazy? I have a goal of getting all my christmas shopping done by Halloween. Think it can be done?

Wow! Now to me, that is an ambitious goal! But hey, I'm impressed that you think you can do it. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'm seriously thinking about doing an almost entirely homemade xmas this year to avoid the shopping all together. I've got to use up some of my paper scrapping supplies anyhow.

almost done!!! I can't believe it! I had a goal this week to get at least one thing every day! It's working! It's working! But I really don;t have a choice... we are celebrating Christmas at Thanksgiving as that is when everyone can get together! Next week, just a couple more to go!

I can't wait to have this done! I'm thinking it will be cheaper... as I usually panicked and got whatever...

Ugh. We haven't even started. Haven't even discussed a budget for x-mas this year. We (OK, DH!) went a little nuts and over budget last year on gifts for his family (*I* stayed on or below budget!). We can't do that this year - more people to shop for, and less money to do it with

. But, shoot, I really do need to get started!

I'm in the same "budget boat". More people on my list with less $$$. I am tired of shopping and not knowing what to get because that person has everything. It really seems just like a big waste of money. I want to go back to the simpler times. It seems like we tend to get sidetracked and lose what the true meaning of Christmas is. Sorry, just wanted to vent.

Gosh I know exactly what you mean!!!

And you get some people that are just never happy with what you give them for Xmas!! They dont care about the gift just about the price tag!!!
For eg. if I buy them a Porche that cost me 5cents they will complain and would have prefered me to get them a TShirt that cost me R1000.00.... Probably over exagerating!! I tend to do this when Xmas gets closer!!

This year I have decided that I am not going overboard on Xmas gifts. Last year we spent so much, we could have rather bought a car!!!!

And if people dont like it they can all go and jump in the lake. Christmas is all about sharing!! There is no price tag on that!!!
