Just bought DIP9

So i just bought DIP 9 and wonder if I should take it back. I really would want DIP 7 because I am use to working with that program. However, it would cost me just as much to buy the version 7 as it would to buy version 9. Anyone know any sales on DIP7? If not I will have to learn DIP 9 so where can I find some tutorials? I am a slow learner.
Thanks,
chelsea

have you opened up dip 9?
it's not that different from dip7. a few things have been moved around.
if the cost is about the same, i would stay with dip 9 for the added features over dip 7. i dont think you will find it that hard to get familiar with dip 9, it's def. easier than learning a whole new program!
what were you using before?

I was using DIP7 before. I have adobe photoshop elements 1.0 and was wondering about Adobe PhotoShop CS. I took a look at the price and scrated that off my list. What about DIP 10? What about the Suite? Anyone have the DIP 9 Suite? How is the archiving system for pics etc?

id take it back and get DIP 10 I am anxiously waiting to get my copy of that. If you can use DIP7 though DIp 9 is pretty similar with the biggest changes being the selection tools and I have a tut up for those in the tutorials section.
As for teh library functions I have a write up in teh Tidbytes in September but basically teh archive function is great for backing up ..teh help files in teh program do a good job of explaining how it works.
There is a heap of tut sfor DIP9 in the Tutorials section and even more in teh ezines - splurge and get all teh back issues
But if you run a cross a particular problem/question let me know and i will see hwat i can do to help
I will also be running classes soon at SBBUniversity for DIp 9 and hopefully 10 as well

Arrow ?

I keep seeing "DIP" all over this site. Is that an abreviation or is that what it is called? What is helpful about it? I have Ulead Photoexpress Platinum (old version.. yr. 2000) and Photoshop CS. I also have Image Ready but haven't used it. Is there an advantage to having "DIP" (as I see many of you have multiple programs already as well)?

DIP is Microsoft's Digital Image Pro. DIP is not as powerful as PSCS or PS Elements. It does have a low learning curve and is not as expensive as the other programs out there. If you already have Ulead and Photoshop CS you probably don't need DIP. One disadvantage of DIP is not being able to use brushes. I still love it.
