LO size in DIP9 - Shelleyrae??

Hi everyone,

This is my first forum post here - I didn't even know this forum existed and I am SOOO excited that I found it!

I saw a prior post from Shelleyrae that said she creates a LO at 8x8 and them converts it to 12x12. I would love to do that as I think my computer would work a little faster that way. How do I do that? When I finish an 8x8 LO, do I just go under Format>Resize Image and change to 12x12? Do I need to do anything about pixels and resolution? I'm going to be printing all of my layouts - will there be any distortion since I'm creating at a smaller size and then increasing the size?

Thanks so much for any help!!

Andrea C.

Hi Andrea
I just use Format > Resize Image and keep the 300dpi option locked and then change the size to 12 x12 from 8x8.
This is supposed to keep the resolution at 300dpi for the whole layout but even if it doenst at worse cas ethe resolution of the 12 x12 wil drop to 200dpi which is still perfectly adequate for printing.
The best idea is to try it for yourself. Create one layout at 12x12 and then a layout at 8x8 and convert it to 12 x12 - print both and see if there are any differences.
Let me know how it goes
