image size with collage

I'm not sure how to explain this, but here it goes. I have cropped some photos and made a collage. I uploaded it to club photo to print it out in a 4x6 size and the prints came back seriously cropped. How do I make sure what size the collage is and that it fills up the 4x6 print without being cropped? I can do this easily using my printer but I want professional photos. I hope this is not too confusing.

hrnmm,

(I'm not sure if you designed your collage in 4x6 or not so part of the problem might be the canvas size you selected.)

If you designed the collage as a 4x6 I would suggest first trying to contact club photo and find out their exact print size. A lot of companies say "4x6" but really the prints are more like 3 7/8 x 5 4/5 or something strange like that! If you can find out the actually print size then you can create your layouts with that canvas size. I ran into a lot of problems when I tried to print mine online because of this... they did the same thing and often I had words, elements and pictures cut off or out of the layout.

If you can't get an answer from them then you might want to try a different company to see if you can get better results elsewhere. I have to admit I have stopped having mine printed online and have opted to have them done in town.

Hope this helps some!
