Question ? about DIP and MS Publisher

If someone is familiar with both DIP and Publisher could you tell me if the workspaces are similar with regards to snap-to guides, horizontal and vertical centering etc.? I love working in Publisher but I can't do layouts in it as it insists on printing png files with a fine broken black border. Have been doing layouts in Adobe Photoshop Elements but really miss my Publisher workspace. Am considering getting DIP but would like to know first if it would be much like working in Pub.

I'm pretty sure Shelleyrae can help you on this. She's our expert on DIP etc.

Hi
I use DIP exclusively for scrapbooking and use MS Pub 2003 for other work (eg newsletters etc) I cant say that there is really any similarity between the workspaces in the programs since they are made for completely different things. I can say that the interface in DIP is much more user friendly and easier to learn than that in PSE and you will most likely find it easier to work in. You do have alignment tools in DIP as well as centering options but not as precise as those in MS Pub.
Check out http://www.microsoft.com/products/imaging/ for more info on DIP.

This link .. http://www.microsoft.com/products/im...ts/default.asp click on "See it in Action" under DIP9 Suite to have a look at the actual interface and some of the tools.

Thanks so much for the links - very helpful. I have Pub 2002 - can you tell me if the newer version also prints pngs with a fine black broken outline?
