OpenType font problem?

Anyone else having a problem installing Opentype fonts in DIP? They just won't show in the font list at all no matter what I do. I've tried the Adobe recommendations from their site but nothing is working Anyone else successful in getting them to work?

Thanks!

hi
Try the following:
Type your text, highlight and then go to Text> Font and use the font menu there to find the Open type font. It should show up

Oh yes I had definitely tried that but it wouldn't show in there either I contacted someone at the Microsoft and they said DIP doesn't support Opentype fonts - which I thought was weird since it's the whole point of it being compatible, let alone with a Microsoft product. They claimed it works with Word, etc, but something with DIP they're not supporting it. I would have thought I'd be able to see it by doing what you suggested, but unfortunately it's not there. Bummer!

Ahh the vagaries of Microsoft.
I guess you could do it in word and then paste in as an image - not terribly helpful though.

Actually, I had a similar problem and opened a Word document first, typed a few words with the font, then went back to DIP (make sure it's closed while you're doing this), did what SR suggested - Text>Font and it appeared. I had to use this technique on several fonts, and it worked about 80% of the time. For the other 20% I just had to look for something as similar as I could get. Good luck.
