DIP 9 no frames

DIP 9

I need to know if frames can be imported into DIP?
If so what formats?
Even if I wasn't having problems, I would want to do that.

I've installed and reinstalled, but DIP can't find the frames.
The previews are visible, the files are all there, but it says the file cannot be found.
I've entered the path to Program Files and also to the CD.
I finally copied both CDs to my HD and installed from there (install was quicker and easier) but still no frames.

Thnx for any help, Tommie

I don't believe you can import into DIP. If it's a frame that's png you can insert it onto a picture or LO.

What was the CD you are referring to? For digi-scrapping frames should be in PNG format.

DIP Frames

Sorry to be so slow. So much has been happening here.

The CDs are the DIP install CDs and the frames are DIP's frames.
Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9
I'm no novice to PCs, but I am novice to this program. I have no idea what is wrong. I've installed, removed, re-installed. Browsed to the HDD and to the CDs. It just will not find them.
This program was so much better before Ms got hold of it.
I can convert frames to any format, but I do aleady have quite a few .png

Thnx for trying to help

When you go to Effects/Edges/Frames and Mats do you see the two frames on the right and a list of frames on the left?

When you installed, did you do a FULL install? One way to find out:
Go to Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to DIP. Wht is the file size? If you did a full install, it should say over 1 GIG. Let me know and we'll go from there to try and work this out for you.

Weird

I was out of ideas and then wondered if perhaps the install was finding all it needed on the 2 separate CDs.
I copied CD1 to the HDD and then copied CD2 into the same folder. Effectively 1 CD.
It worked. It setup fine and all options are now available. I didn't see any scratches or smudges on the CDs, but who knows.

Kim, thnx for the help. Your ? about doing a Full install gave me the idea.

Regards, Tommie
