saving presets

I have used many of the PS programs and PSP9 and10. In both of these, you can save presets in the folders for the specific object-brushes, shapes, etc. I cannot find this in DIP-actually I have DISuite 2006. If I want to save templates, brushes, anything, where does it go? TIA and Happy New Year!!

Hi Debbie
DIP doesnt have presets per say. You can install plugin filters in the Filters file but you are better off just installing them in folder on your harddrive that you can point DIP too so you can share them with your other programs.
Shapes and templates can only be saved outside of the program and brought in as a normal image.
You can create your own designer edges etc and save them in the program to use as well as photobrushes and artbrushes which requires special steps.
Take a look at these tutorials here:

Ugh there are more but the tutorials area is spitting up an error at the moment

Thank you so much for your quick response. I thought that might be the answer. I, too, am having trouble getting to the second page of any of the tutorials. This is a really fun program to use. Once you get the initial routine down, things move pretty quickly. Also, it does quite a lot of things. The edges section does some wonderful effects.

One way to get the tuts is to click on one from the first page and then change the number in the addy line. It may take a few wild guesses or you may need to go back one number at a time but you will find what you're looking for eventually. If it's a fairly recent tut it will be quicker to find.
