another ?

Man, this is going so slow - program that is. Not sure if maybe I'm already maxed out. It seems to do the search everytime I start the program??? This will be a nightmare if that is the case. I tried to look in options to see if there is a setting I need to click. OK, my question this hour is on the archiving. Once I label a kit, can I archive it so it won't open everytime the program opens? I really don't need to see everything, since I have IE XP and usually that's how I see all my kits. However, when I really want to USE the library, and search for all my red grungy papers, I assume it will search in the archives as well? Is my question clear? Just trying to really understand how the program actually works. Thanks.

The initial load can be slow - since it scans for new files/folders etc.
You only need to open it the once, before you start scrapping and leave it running that way when you want to find something you can just do the search and use drag and drop to add what you want to your DIP workspace. Going to Open>Library each time is a nightmare - drag and drop makes it a non issue.
When you search for red grungy papers, just choose label from the View By at left and it will find any files anywhere labeled with that.

I'd suggest creating a seperate folder and throw in some duplicate kits - use that folder as your guinea pig to work out what works for you and what doenst

Thanks Shelleyrae. This all helps a lot. I'm excited about the drag and drop feature. We'll see how it goes. I'm 1/2 way through my SP kits I have a folder for those kits I actually buy, and then once I buy from a designer all their stuff goes in there, then I have a mega huge file just labeled "kits". Which has tons of good stuff in there. But for now, I tend to go to the kits I purchased because obviously I like the quality etc. So I'm just going to catalog those purchased kits (which is still a lot) and I'm in the process of un-cataloging the huge file "kits" and it's taking forever... but once I get those out of the library, I think my speed will increase tremendously. Then, going forward, any new downloads I'll make mental note of any cool items I may want to catalog, not necessarily the whole kit. Just thinking out loud here. Thank again. You're always the best at response time and you certainly know your DIP Good night.
