Altering a photo in DIP

I use DIP for all my scrapbooking pages. The dentist I work for would like to know if I can use DIP to alter a picture of a smile. For example- we would have a close up picture of a smile and we would want to alter the teeth (brighter, straighten, change shape, etc) to show what cosmetic dentistry can do. Can I do all these things with my DIP program? If so, are there tutorials on doing such things?

DIP tutorials are here:

And I don't use DIP, so I don't know for sure, but I think this tut might have some ideas for altering teeth, etc.: http://scrapbook-bytes.com/cgi-scrip...icle_431.shtml

Use either the Edgefinder or Freehand Trace Tool to select the teeth. Go to Touchup/Exposure and Lighting and adjust the sliders to suit.

Kim,
Is there a way to change the shape of the tooth also? Change the angle of them? Imagine a smile with crooked teeth and I want to select each one and turn it to be straight. Make sense?

I don't think so. If it is possible in DIP I'd say it would take a LOT of time and manipulation - not to mention patience.

You could but i woudl take time to select each one and manipulate them, depending on how crooked they were you could cut the sides off, use the clone brush to fill in bits of teeth - or replace the whole section of teeth from another photo
If you google fix teeth Photoshop a whole bunch of stuff will come up - thsi tutorial is followable in DIP http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tu...s/tut018_4.htm and you can modify teh ideas to suit.
Otherwise shoot me the photo and I might be able to come up with some advice

Well Sherry, there you have it -- advice from two of the most knowledgeable DIP users I can think of! If it can be done in DIP -- KimLizzy & Shelleyrae would know )

Good luck!

Thanks to all of you. I've been working on it this morning trying to play around with it. It may be more trouble than it's worth.
