Can DIP work with Wacom Tablet?

Just thinking of a new toy and wanted to know if anyone is using the Wacom with DIP? I would like to use it for drawing and writing on my pages. I see it usually used with PSE but couldn't find any reference to it within the DIP forum.

I have a wacom tablet and it works great with DIP! The only thing it can't do (or I haven't figured out how to) is pressure sensitivity...in the tutorials it says that if you push harder you will get a thicker line and a thinner line the lighter your pressure...but with DIP it is all the same.

Maybe someone with more DIP/wacom experience can tell both of us if I am wrong

Well, now that I know it works, I need more info..... which type and size can I get away with. Still trying to stay conservative price-wise. Will I be able to draw scroll lines on my document, can I handwrite words. What do you LOVE about it and is it really worth it. Have you been able to do anything unique with it? What besides the pressure part of it don't you like. Any other drawbacks? Any comments will be helpful in deciding if I get it or not. From what I read, the pressure sensitivity is according to which model you get - do you think that is the problem you gals are having or just the fact that DIP doesn't recognize certain commands.

I have the smaller intuos tablet and honestly am less than impressed with it. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time with it. I've heard from folks though that you really want the 6x8 if you can afford it and you will love it.

I have the 6x8 since I work at 8x8 and wouldn't recommend going any smaller than that. The Wacom graphire which i have is much cheaper than the Wacom inspire so if cost is an issue go for teh graphire tablet.
I dont use it nearly as much for designing as I should but that is due more to time pressures and the projects I am working on. I find it incredibly useful for a lot of tasks, particulary selections. Yes you can draw scroll lines.. I dont know if you ever may have seen or purchased the spring fling SBB CD but the wedding kit in that CD that i made uses scrolly hearts and I drew all of those with the Wacom.

Dip just doenst recognise the pressure..my wacom recognises pressure with PS and when i posted on the MS Community group after getting my Wacom - 18 months or more ago now they confirmed that DIP doesnt work with the pressure sensitivity.

Thanks Shelleyrae for the info. Got a lot to think about before buying anything. Now we have to get MS to really get DIP up to speed and be able to do the things PSE can do. I think DIP is so much more user friendly but definitely is lacking options like... brushes and little things like that. Oh well, what can ya do.
