The easiest way in DIP would be to use >Filters>Metal:Chrome Simple or any of the other filters that are Metal. The best way would be to use eyecandy plug-ins.

Aside from playing around with the settings you can download lots of "pre-sets" from the net. A Google search for "eyecandy presets" should find some for you.

Nancy are you using just DIp or DIP with EyEcandy plugin?

In DIP without any plugins then you can use this tut http://scrapbook-bytes.com/cgi-scrip...ticle_95.shtml with just minor adjustments

If you are using EyeCandy4000 then you launch the Chrome plugin and for silver metal choose Settings > Chrome Border ( will make blue lines)
On the Basic tab change the Reflection Map to either Outdoor or Roadside.
Change the Bevel Placement to Inside Marquee and then adjust the bevel widths and heights as desired.

Hope that helps..if you have a particular object in mind like making a metallic brad or word or whatever etc let me know and I''ll whip up a tut for you.
