Regarding DIP2006 - important info

For DIP 2006 the standard edition is missing many of the tools. See here for the comparison so be aware if you are looking at upgrading you will need to buy the 2006 SUITE otherwise you will be going backwards.

With versions 9 and 10 the only difference between pro and suite is the library.

I don't see the benefit of purchasing it. It doesn't seem that they are really adding anything. What are your thoughts?

I don't plan on updating to this version. The only changes seem to be in the Library. And as SR said in a previous post, the 2006 Pro version doesn't support Plugins among other things. Seems like MS wants everyone to buy the Suite! Versions 9 and 10 Pro and Suite were exactly the same except the Suite had the Library.

If there were extra filters and a bevelling tool I might have considered it.

I dont think there would be any benefit to purchasing this version if you already have v9 or 10 unless you already rely heavily on the library and teh extra features for the library are what you want.
JMO I doubt I'll be upgrading either.

Thanks so much for the great information. I may have "upgraded just to upgrade" and been really bummed! Thanks for your honest opinions, too!

Definately DIP 10 or DIP 2006 Suite. Whether you purchase the DIP 10 Suite depends on whether you think you will use the library feature which is quite good.
As said above teh only differences between DIP 10 and teh DIP 10 Suite is the library but this isnt true with DIP 2006. The difffernce between DIP 2006 Standard and DIP 2006 Suite includes differences in tools as well so if you go for 2006 you definately need the Suite version.
