Not that I have figured out yet, Jana. But that's not saying much as I'm just learning as I go on it, and haven't really sat down to pull it apart. But i still love it. One thing I found interesting, I don't know if you all are aware of the wonky blue box that would mysteriously appear in versions 7 and 9 when you applied a lot of shadowing or edge treatments...well, while it seemed to be thankfully absent in version 10, it is back in Suite 2006. The good thing is, that it doesn't present more then a momentary annoyance as it can be deleted quickly. Unlike the box in 7 and 9 that had to be very carefully worked over as it seemed to be imbedded in your LO, this one seems to be deposited only on otherwise transparent layer and is easly deleted without affecting the rest of your LO. So a pretty easy fix.

Just remember:
DIP10 Pro AND Suite were both plugin compatible whereas 2006 Pro ISN'T. You have to buy the suite to be able to use plugins. Seems like the Pro version has gone backward. It also doesn't include Panorama stitching or Plus! Photo Story.

To reitterate what Shelleyrae had written previously:

For DIP 2006 the standard edition is missing many of the tools. See here for the comparison so be aware if you are looking at upgrading you will need to buy the 2006 SUITE otherwise you will be going backwards.

I think they are now giving you pared-down and a super-charged versions to choose from. Just read the fine print or look at the websited before you buy. My only beef is that the names are so similar, that it is a bit confusing, especially for the new DIPer. Maybe next time, they'll consult with us .

Wouldn't that be something? You know, I really wonder if software designers are reading this and similar message boards. It should give them a huge load of input. Maybe we could all get together for a brainstorming session.
