pro versus suite?

I was saving up for PSE 3 after using the trial, but on a whim I decided to try DIP 10. And I must say, I've fallen in love! So I was browsing the internet to check prices and ended up only spending $20 after rebates at our local Staples. But BEFORE I open it, I just wanted to check and see if my assumption is correct. I never used the library on the trial, I always just went to the edit photo and inserted my photos and made my LO's. I should still be able to have all the same functions that I used there, right? Is there something else that is part of suite, but not pro that I might be using and not realizing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Amy

This is the comparison chart from microsoft. I've never had suite, just pro, but I think the only difference is the library.

I just got Microsoft Digital Image Suite a few months ago. If you have the option of getting suite do it! I had never had a library before and didn't know how to use it. Once I started generating and downloading multiple kits and sets of elements for my scrapbooking I began to see how the library really helps manage your files like nothing else. With the library I am able to view multiple folders without opening and closing each one. I am able to sort items out of mutiple files by painting key words ie. I can see all my papers at one time by sorting by paper. But I don't remove the actual paper file from the folder from the matching kit (with the read-me file). Before I started using my library I had a very hard time tracking down where I got a paper, what was in the read-me file, what were other things in the kits that would match. The more digital "supplies" you have for scrapbooking the more invaluable it wil be to have a library system.

in general, a software suite includes more than one piece of software coordinated to work together. It's very common in professional applications where opening one monster program would eat too many resources.

That's why Adobe has Creative Suite now, which is 5 or 6 programs working interchangably. So now MS has the DI Suite, very similar.

Go for the Suite. I have Pro and WISH WISH WISH I had gotten the Suite. Once you start accquiring kits, papers, and all the little doo dads, you'll want that library for quick finding. Believe me. You'll want it!!

Thanks for all your input!! Just one more question, is it possible to upgrade to suit later or do you have to purchase the whole package even if you have Pro?

Sorry, there is no upgrade, if you think you'll want the suite version make sure you buy it. Before purchasing, remember there is a new version due out in July so you may want to wait.
