Need help with fonts

Hello,

I want to know how does one go about giving fonts dimensions. When you insert the font on a page it is flat. I want to know if there is a program or filter that will allow me to play with how thick or thin or wide or puffy I can make the character?

Also, how does one make words that look like are made out of gold/silver/chrome?

Thank you. Can't wait to see the answers.

Blessings. LovelyMissKait

Can you tell us what program you are using? If you use Photoshop 7.0 or higher then you can use "Blending Options" to add "Bevel and Emboss" which is how I add thickness or puffiness.

You got me on the gold/silver/chrome....

Hi there!

My suggestion is to take a look at ShelleyRae's tutorial found HERE... this one is about the wire words

The other thing is once you get Eye Candy 3000 there is a bevel option that you can use to give your text dimension

HERE is another tutorial by ShelleyRae on plugins that may be of help to you.

Hope this helps you!

If you use word art you can stretch the font too. As for the colored etc, you'll need a plug-in.
