Fake Flower Tutorial

I'm loooking for a tutorial on how to make those beautiful little fake silk flowers...anyone know?

I either scan or photograph silk flowers and then cut them out using the marque tools.

Yvette, do you do anything to the edges after using the marquee tool? Whenever I use it I always have jagged edges. Drives me nuts. I'm sure no one else would really notice it, but it still drives me batty.

You can try Edges/Soft and see if that helps.

Well that makes sense....Could you sell them though if you scanned in store bought ones?

I would think yes... people use those silk flowers all the time to make crafts that they sell... just my thought...

re: edges - I try to photograph or scan on a really different color of paper (different from the flower) then I use the magic wand tool set at about 25. And as Kim mentioned soft edges I usually do between 1 and 3.
As far as selling - The one I use the most came off a box of easter chocolates 2 years ago, so I'm not worried about copyright issues on it! LOL
